שרה בנדר (נולדה ב-1948) - היסטוריונית של השואה, פרופסור בחוג לתולדות ישראל באוניברסיטת חיפה. עיקר מחקריה על יהודי פולין במלחמת העולם השנייה ועל יחסי יהודים פולנים מסוף המאה ה-19 עד עליית גומולקה (1956).
ב-1995 סיימה את הדוקטורט (בהצטיינות) במכון ליהדות זמננו, האוניברסיטה העברית ירושלים, בהנחייתם של פרופ' ישראל גוטמן ופרופ' יהודה באואר.
מחקריה עוסקים בנושאים : ההיסטוריה של הקהילות היהודיות בפולין בתקופת השואה; התנגדות יהודית; היחסים בתקופת הכיבוש הגרמני בין פולנים ליהודים בערים ובכפרים; חלקם של פולנים ברצח יהודי פולין במלחמת העולם השנייה; יהודים במחנות לעבודת כפייה במחוז רדום; פרטיזנים יהודיים ביערות ליטא וביילורוסיה ועוד.

(2002-2015) – Editor of DAPIM – Studies on the Shoah, University of Haifa and the Ghetto Fighter’s House Museum
(2011-2015) - has headed a study project of the Jews of Galicia and Bukovina in the 18th and 19th centuries, conducted by Herzl Institute, the University of Haifa - a multi-disciplinary, cross university and international project
(2012-2016) - has taught in the "International School of Holocaust Studies" - program in the University of Haifa
