איתי סנד
איתי סנד (נולד ב-4 במאי 1955) הוא פרופסור למדע המדינה ודיקן הפקולטה למדעי החברה על שם גרשון גורדון באוניברסיטת תל אביב. כמו כן, הוא עומד בראש מכון מינץ לפתרונות מדיניות אסטרטגיים לאתגרים גלובליים[1]. איתי סנד הקים את בית הספר ללימודי חברה ומדיניות בפקולטה למדעי החברה באוניברסיטת תל אביב, ועמד בראשו במשך 4 שנים עד שמונה לדיקן הפקולטה.
תחומי המחקר העיקריים שלו הם תורת המוסדות, תורת המשחקים ומודלים מתמטיים יישומיים[2]. כמו כן הוא מרצה בקורסים של תכנון אסטרטגי, הבטים פוליטיים וחברתיים במדיניות הציבורית ותקצוב[3].
בעבר כיהן כראש המחלקה למדע המדינה וכמנהל ה-Center for New Institutional Social Sciences באוניברסיטת וושינגטון בסנט לואיס. פרופ' סנד פרסם חמישה ספרים, הראשון שבהם - The Political Institution of Property Rights, והאחרון שבהם - "Economic Institutions, Rights, Growth, and Sustainability: The Legacy of Professor Douglass C. North“ פורסמו ב-1997 וב-2014 (בהתאמה) על ידי הוצאת הספרים המובילה הוצאת אוניברסיטת קיימברידג'[4].
כמו כן, פרופ' סנד פרסם עשרות מאמרים בכתבי עת מובילים כגון The American Journal of Political Science ו-The Journal of Politics, The Journal of Theoretical Politics
