קופים מעופפים (פסיכולוגיה פופולרית)
המונח קופים מעופפים (באנגלית: Flying Monkeys) משמש בפסיכולוגיה פופולרית לתיאור אחד המאפיינים בדינמיקה של התעללות נרקיסיסטית[1] או התעללות פסיכופתית[2][3]. המונח מתייחס לאנשים הפועלים בשם הנרקיסיסט, להשגת מטרה פוגענית (כגון לשון הרע, הוצאת דיבה, גזלייטינג)[4][5] או לקידום האינטרסים האישיים שלו (שימור הקורבן בקשר, היעתרות לרצון הנרקיסיסט, וכדומה). המונח נלקח מתוך הספר הקוסם מארץ עוץ.[6]
זהות
"קוף מעופף" עשוי להיות כל אדם, שמאמין לפרסונה המזויפת של הנרקיסיסט (עצמי כוזב)[1][7], פועל בשליחותו ומוסיף לסבלו של הקורבן, במודע או שלא-במודע.[4][6][8] על פי רוב, מושפע הקוף המעופף מהמניפולציות של הנרקיסיסט, שמטרתן לפגוע בקורבן באמצעות השמצתו או הטלת דופי באישיותו. במקרים מסוימים הקוף המעופף עשוי להיות נרקיסיסט נוסף, הפועל במקביל.[9] קוף מעופף עשוי להיות אדם מסביבתו של הקורבן, מסביבתו של הנרקיסיסט, ובמקרים מסוימים, ארגון אזרחי או ממשלתי (בית משפט, גורם אכיפת חוק, מקום עבודה).[4][8][10]
טקטיקות
שליחויות "הקוף המעופף" עשויות לכלול ריגול, הפצת רכילות, איומים, ויצירת מצג שווא בו הנרקיסיסט מתואר כקורבן ואילו הקורבן הוא התוקפן.[4][6] עם זאת, לא יהסס הנרקיסיסט להפוך את הקוף המעופף לשעיר לעזאזל במידת הצורך[7][11]. הקופים המעופפים עשויים להסוות את מעורבות הנרקיסיסט, ולא להיות ערים לניצולם על ידו.[4][6][11] לטקטיקה של ריבוי קופים מעופפים השפעה דומה לזו של לחץ חברתי או חרם.[4][12]
מניעים
מניעי הקופים המעופפים רבים ומגוונים. בראש ובראשונה, הקסם האישי השטחי שמאפיין את האישיות הנרקיסיסטית שובה את ליבם[8] ומסייע להם להאמין לנרטיב שלו, המאופיין בפרספקטיבה חד-צדדית, בה מוצג הקורבן כאשם. [13] בני משפחה וחברים עלולים בתום לב "לסייע בפתרון הבעיה", כאשר הם תופשים את הצד "הבעייתי" באופן מוטעה, ובכך מוסיפים לסבלו של הקורבן. [14][15] לעיתים, אדם הנמצא במערכת יחסים של תלות שיתופית עם הנרקיסיסט הופך לקוף מעופף, מתוך שאיפה להיכלל בתחושת-העצמי האומניפוטנטית של הנרקיסיסט. כמו כן, הוא עשוי להשתמש בקורבן כמטרה לביטוי האינסטינקטים התוקפניים המודחקים שלו. Sociopaths don't necessarily work alone either. If they're really intent on destroying you, they may rely on a gang of "flying monkeys" to make your life miserable. It's a reference to The Wizard of Oz, where the flying monkeys do all the Wicked Witch of the West's dirty work.
