בארי ולמן (באנגלית: Barry Wellman; נולד ב-30 בספטמבר 1942) הוא פרופסור לסוציולוגיה באוניברסיטת טורונטו, קנדה.
ולמן כתב יותר מ-300 מאמרים, פרקים, דו"חות וספרים. הוא זכה בפרסים רבים מגופים שונים ביניהם האגודה הקנדית לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה, ושתי מחלקות של האגודה אמריקאית לסוציולוגיה: קהילה וסוציולוגיה עירונית, תקשורת וטכנולוגיות מידע.
תחומי המחקר שלו הם סוציולוגיית הקהילה, האינטרנט, אינטראקציית אדם מחשב והמבנה החברתי כפי שבא לידי ביטוי בקהילות וארגונים ברשתות חברתיות.
עניין העל שלו הוא במעבר הפרדיגמה מיחסים/קשרים המרוכזים בקבוצה, לאינדיבידואליזם ברשת. ולמן טען שהתפתחות הקשר בין אדם לאדם הושפעה יותר מהתפתחות התקשורת מאשר מהתפתחות התחבורה.
