קלאודיה שיינבאום

קלאודיה שיינבאום פרדו (בספרדית: Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo;‏ נולדה ב-24 ביוני 1962) היא מדענית, פוליטיקאית וסופרת מקסיקנית ממוצא יהודי, המכהנת מאוגוסט 2018 כראש עיריית מקסיקו סיטי מטעם הקואליציה "Juntos Haremos Historia". בשנת 2007 זכתה, יחד עם שאר חברי הפאנל הבין-ממשלתי לשינוי האקלים, בהם אל גור, בפרס נובל לשלום.

משפחה

קלאודיה שיינבאום נולדה ב-24 ביוני 1962 במקסיקו סיטי. והיא בתו השנייה של הכימאי קרלוס שיינבאום יוסלביץ והביולוגית אנני פרדו סמו. היא הייתה נשואה לקרלוס אימאז גיספרט בין השנים 1987–2016.

אקדמיה

לשיינבאום תואר ראשון בפיזיקה עם התמחות בתרמודינמיקה ותואר שני בהנדסת אנרגיה. את הדוקטורט בהנדסה סביבתית עשתה במעבדה הלאומית לורנס ברקלי, מטעם האוניברסיטה האוטונומית הבינלאומית של מקסיקו (UNAM). בשנת 2007 הצטרפה לפאנל הבין-ממשלתי לשינויי סביבה של האו"ם כמומחית בתחום הסביבה והתעשייה, ובמסגרת פעילות זו כתבה, יחד עם שאר חברי הקבוצה את הדו"ח AR4 , עליו זכתה הקבוצה בפרס נובל באותה שנה.
